This day includes one of the highlights of our trip, a visit to the Famous Angkor Wat temple complex.  Angkor Wat – built by Suryavarman II – is the earthly representation of Mt Meru, the Mt Olympus of the Hindu faith and the abode of ancient gods.

It is hard to imagine any building bigger or more beautiful than Angkor Wat, but in Angkor Thom the sum of the parts add up to a greater whole. Aptly named, the fortified city of Angkor Thom is indeed a ‘Great City’ on an epic scale. Our visit include the famous Bayon Temple, Phimeanakas Temple within the Royal Palace enclosure, Baphuon Temple, the Terrace of the Elephants and the terrace of the leper King.
