Monday 4 May – Nachal Kziv, Western Galilee
Our bus will take us north to hike in one of the main watercourses of the Western Galilee, a valley collecting water falling west of Mount Meiron and flowing out to the Mediterranean Sea.
We begin near the community of Hila and descend into the valley under a canopy of dense forest. The descent is quite steep. Once we reach the valley floor we will visit the spring of Ein Tamir for a short break and enjoy the waters. Then we will turn west, follow the water on a winding path next to and through pools of water. We finish by climbing out to the Goren Park, a steep but short ascent. Above the valley, we will be rewarded with a great view of the crusader Monfort Castle. Our bus will collect us and take us for our overnight stay at Eilon Travel Hotel at Kibbutz Eilon. After supper, there will be an evening program.
