AACI’s London Bnei Mitzvah Trip

16 August 2020 - 20 August 2020
Locations: London

Mazal Tov! Your grandchild is a Bar or Bat Mitzvah! Join grandparents and their Bnei Mitzvah aged grandchildren for a trip your grandchild will still talk about at their Sheva Brachot. Bond with them in this special way as they enter into adulthood. Hold their hands as you explore the Tower of London, tour Buckingham Palace, and laugh with them at Madame Tussauds and the Harry Potter Studio. Enjoy a celebratory banquet and a special volunteering opportunity. Treat them like only a grandparent knows how as you build memories that will last a lifetime.

Day 1 Sunday  Aug 16: Tel Aviv – London
Depart Tel Aviv and arrive in London early afternoon. Enjoy an introductory guided panoramic tour, including Buckingham palace, Big Ben, The London Eye and so much more! Stroll around for some great photo opportunities.

Early evening check in at hotel. Our group will transfer together to an area with many kosher restaurant options for dinner of your choice!

Day 2 Monday Aug 17: Tower of London and London Eye
After our Kosher breakfast, we begin our exciting day with a visit to the London Eye. Not just another Ferris wheel, the experience showcases breathtaking 360 degree views of the capital and its famous landmarks and has been the number one visitor experience in the city for the past decade.

The gradual rotation in one of the 32 high-tech glass capsules takes approximately 30 minutes and gives you an ever-changing perspective of London. Within each capsule, interactive guides allow you to explore the capital’s iconic landmarks in several languages.

In the afternoon continue to the Tower of London. The Tower of London is a 900-year-old castle and fortress in central London that is notable for housing the crown jewels and for holding many famous and infamous prisoners. On our tour we see the crown jewels, and be entertained by the Yeoman Warders, also known as ‘Beefeaters’, who will share key stories from 1,000 years of history. Be entertained by tales of intrigue, imprisonment, execution, torture and much more…

Group will transfer to kosher restaurants of your choice.

Day 3 Tuesday, Aug 18-Madame Tussauds, Buckingham Palace
After breakfast transfer to Madam Tussauds to see your favorite celebrities and politicians in eerily realistic wax form. A classic London experience!

Buckingham Palace has served as the official London residence of the UK’s sovereigns since 1837 and today is the administrative headquarters of the Monarch. Although in use for the many official events and receptions held by The Queen, the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace are open to visitors every summer. Experience up close what it means to be a Royal.

Finish the day with a visit to the Kinder-transport memorial. Kinder-transport is the name given to the rescue mission that began nine months prior to the outbreak of World War II. The United Kingdom took in nearly 10,000 Jewish children from Nazi Germany, Austria, Czechoslovakia and the Free City of Danzig. The children were placed in British foster homes, hostels, and farms.
