Exciting Bangkok, beautiful beaches, welcoming people, oodles of elephants, rolling surf, fantastic shopping and divine massages, fun finds and handicrafts describe Thailand.  Our kosher and friendly group will explore the essential sites of Thailand, while discovering the secrets of this exotic country.

Visit Damnern Saduak’s floating Markets, and sip a tropical fruit drink, tour the Royal Grand Palace, the home of Thailand’s royals, and a testament to Thai craftsmanship. Fly to Chiang Rai, and stop at the White and Black Temples, to visit the stunning White Temple.

elephant_campVisit the Golden Triangle, and shop in the Marchket which borders have a both MyanMarch and Laos. Stop in Mae Thaman Elephant Camp, for a exciting elephant ride, and spend some time getting to know the local hill tribes.

On to Phuket, with pristine beaches, which also includes a trip on a visa boat to the Khao Phing Khan, where the famous James Bond movie was filmed. Enjoy a Snorkeling day in Phi Phi Island, and get a chance to see colorful fish of all species. All this plus beautiful luxurious Hotels and much much more await us on this Deluxe Trip!

Sunday March 4
Arrive Bangkok at 15:00 and transfer immediately upon arrival to hotel. After check in, we have a night tour and visit the Flower Marchket (open 24 hours!), Khaosan Road, the tourist street of Bangkok, and enjoy dinner at Chabad House Return to hotel.

Monday March 5
Breakfast at hotel. Our guided sightseeing of today will take us for a drive across the city into the inner core to see the contrast between old and new Bangkok. Visit to the outstanding temples (Wat) such as – Wat Pho famous for its Reclining Buddha, Wat Trimitr, and the world’s largest Golden Buddha believed to be about 700 years old. Then visit the Royal Grand Palace, the most important land mark in Bangkok. It is famous for its impressive architecture and buildings. Explore the magnificent Wat Phra Kaew, with the revered Emerald Buddha, carved from a single block of jade, and other key attractions such as the Coronation Throne Hall, Royal Reception Hall, Royal Funeral Hall, the Golden Chedi, and the Royal Pantheon. Today we will have our first head and shoulder massage! Dinner at Chabad House.

Tuesday March 6
floatingmarketBreakfast at hotel. Morning drive to Damnern Saduak floating Marchket. We will see the Marchket by long-tail boat, which provides the most up close and personal experience and a chance to taste colorful and flavorful tropical fruits from the region.

We then continue to drive to Kanchanaburi where we will visit the famous Bridge on the River Kwai, which was part of the notorious death railway. After a short boat ride on the river which provides varying views of the bridge, we will visit the War Museum and Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, where Dutch, British and Australian prisoners of war are buried.  Transfer back to Bangkok for dinner at Chabad House.

Wednesday March 7
baan-dam-2Breakfast at hotel. Transfer from hotel to airport for flight to Chiangrai. Upon arrival we immediately begin exploring this magical ethnic area. We start off with a visit to the Wat Rongkhun (White Temple) Thailand’s most unique Temple, which is a Bhuddist temple but with modern surrealist twists. On to the Baan Dam (Black House) another modern structure among ancient temples. Standing in contrast to the white temple, we find many spooky and dark corners to explore.

We will then continue on to Union Hill Tribes Center. Here we get a hands on experience as to how the hill tribes of the area live, including Yao, Akha, Lahu, and the Long Neck Tribe. Transfer to hotel after a long and exciting day!

Thursday March 8
Breakfast at hotel. Morning visit to Doi Tung Mae Fah Luang Botanic Garden, this garden of mostly temperate flowers was built over 10 acres of land in accordance with a Thai Royal’s wish to give Thai people who have never travelled overseas an opportunity to enjoy a temperate flower garden. Continue to Mae Sai, the northernmost town of Thailand next to MyanMarch border. Visit border Marchket, if you love shopping and negotiating for some great bargains then the Marchket at Mae Sai is the place for you.

Then we drive to the Golden Triangle – where the borders of Thailand, MyanMarch (formerly Burma) and Laos meet up at the Mekong River. In the past this was the center of the opium trade run by the local hill tribes. Here we board for a motor boat ride along the scenic Mekong River. At the end of our river cruise we visit the ancient fortified city Of Chiang Saen situated on the banks of the Mekong River. Dinner at hotel.

Friday March 9
Breakfast at hotel.

After check out, transfer to Chiangmai via Mae Kajan hot spring, and enjoy a quick dip of our feet. Proceed to visit Doi Suthep hill top Temple, with a special cable car, and see this beautiful golden structure including views of the valley below.  Continue to check-in at the Shangri-La Chiangmai Hotel.

Evening; Shabbat Dinner at Chabad House.

Saturday March 10
Breakfast at hotel. After Tefillah and Shabbat lunch spend the day at leisure in our beautiful hotel or join us on a lovely walking tour of the area and have a chance to rest up after a busy week!
In the evening, enjoy the famous night safari!

Sunday March 11
Breakfast at hotel. Proceed to Mae Thaman Elephant Camp, to see Elephants in their natural habitat. We will enjoy an exciting Elephant ride, and learn about this graceful animal.

After our visit, we continue to a special ride on a Bamboo Raft along Mae Tang River and see the exceptionally green foliage.

On to the Orchid Farm to see the most beautiful and delicate flowers in the world. To end, we will visit the famous Thai Handicraft Center, and have an opportunity to see and purchase Thai silk, Paper Umbrella, Teakwood carving, Silverware and Lacquer ware.

Tonight we have a special evening ahead of us; after a full dinner we will partake in a kosher version of a Khan Toke Dinner (Fruits only) and show. Let yourself be entertained by a selection of northern cultural performances including the charming Ram Dab (Thai Sword Dance), Fon Thiean (Thai Candle Dance), and Ram Wong (Group Dance).

Monday March 12
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer from hotel to Airport for flight to Phuket.

After arrival in Phuket, we immediately begin our tour of the world’s most beautiful beaches. See the white sand and crystal clear waters of Patong Beach, Karon Beach, Kata Beach. We will visit longboatthe Island’s three bay view point, and the floating Sea Gypsy Village. We finish our day with a stop at a Pearl factory for some shopping!  Transfer to hotel and enjoy dinner at Chabad.

Overnight in Phuket

Tuesday March 13
Breakfast at hotel. Today we will venture out of Phuket towards the region’s of Phang-Nga. First stop will be the Rubber Plantation to learn about the regions main former source of income. We continue through the beautiful countryside, and arrive at the pier to embark on long-tail boat to take us to James Bond Island (Khao Phing Khan). We will tour around the island  and enjoy relaxing and swimming. On the way we stop at Koh Panyee, inhabited by descendants of two families whose community is built on stilts.  Return to pier and back to Phuket.

Evening dinner at Chabad and FantaSea show. Phuket FantaSea Show, or Fantasy of a Kingdom, is a Thai cultural show infused with cutting edge technology and state-of-the-art show elements.

Wednesday March 14
Breakfast at hotel.

Departure from pier to Phi Phi Islands for a unique day. Start off with snorkeling and fish feeding at Monkey Beach (the colors are unbelievable!). Continue to Maya Bay (where The Beach was filmed), to snorkel and relax. Continue to Bida Islands, Loh Samah Bay, Pileh Bay & Viking Cave to experience crystal clear waters. After lunch enjoy free time to explore the surroundings. Depart from Phi Phi Island back to Phuket. Evening dinner at Chabad

Thursday March 15

Breakfast at hotel. We bid farewell to paradise and make our way to Bangkok and transfer from Suvarnabhumi Airport to MBK Shopping Center, an 8 story tall shopping center with unending shops. Even if nothing is purchased, this is still a site to see. Our day ends with a visit to the Siam Ocean World, the largest aquarium in South East Asia, including its ocean tunnel.

Continue to farewell dinner at Chabad House and transfer to Bangkok airport for our flight home at 00:20, and land in Tel Aviv at 6:40
